The Philosophy: Innovation and customer insight are the cornerstones of Zamil New Delhi’s design and research philosophy. Our in-house R&D facilities are engaged in continuous and in-depth research in the field of Energy Management. As a result, we have products and services that meet the customer's existing and future needs.

Zamil with its experience, understands that diesel generators and air conditioners are a major cause of high operational expenditure. To overcome this challenge, our R&D experts innovated the Zamil Energy Saver. This device lowers operational expenditure by optimizing the operation of diesel generators and air conditioners with a Free Cooling Unit (FCU) in a shelter.

Our approach to Energy Management consists of a simple 3-step plan: 'Measure, Detect, and Control'. The 'Measure' enables collection of data from the customer energy circuit. This data is analysed and mined to arrive at the 'Detect"' phase. In the 'Control' step, action is taken to control the energy cost by taking necessary steps.

zES builds an automated control command based on the logic derived after considering power inputs, ambient temperature, and shelter temperature parameters. Based on the configurable parameters, the unit intelligently conveys a command for triggering the diesel generator or air conditioner or FCU ON or OFF. For example, the diesel generator runs only if AC Mains is unavailable and battery voltage drops below the preset value. The run time of the generator is also optimized by switching off the generator after a certain number of hours preset by the user.

Need of the Operators

Operators require 100% uptime for sites. In unreliable grid regions, green solutions can provide coverage during grid outages. In an off-grid or semi off-grid site conditions, appropriate solution specification is crucial for maintaining the Site uptime. In such cases, the legacy diesel generator solution is the most preferred, but it relies on two major factors:

  • Operational condition of the DG
  • Supply & Cost of diesel
There has been a pragmatic shift in moving from the DGs as the secondary source of power to hybrid battery-DG based solution or hybrid Solar & Wind power generated alternative energy solutions.
